hi, i’m ashley.
Interior design wasn’t always the plan — it was the spark that grew from renovating our first home in 2013. What began as a side project alongside my husband’s construction background quickly became a passion for reimagining spaces with intention and beauty.
After moving to Arizona in 2018, I expanded my expertise through construction administration before earning my degree in interior design, graduating summa cum laude.
As a member of ASID and NKBA, I launched Modern Dwelling Design in 2024 to create thoughtfully layered homes that feel both elevated and deeply livable.
My work is rooted in organic materials, mixed metals, soft tonal palettes, and curated warmth — spaces that feel collected, not decorated.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually at a concert, planning a weekend escape with Justin, or at home with our two boys, Brady and Owen — along with our dogs, Maya and Tyson, and our bearded dragon, Coconut.

Lisa serves as Director of Operations at Modern Dwelling Design, bringing a unique blend of legal precision and design insight to the team. With a background as a paralegal and roots in design school — where we first met — she offers both analytical expertise and creative understanding.
Her meticulous attention to detail, contract knowledge, and systems-driven mindset ensure that every project is supported by structure, clarity, and seamless execution. Lisa’s leadership behind the scenes allows our design process to feel refined, organized, and effortless for our clients.
Elisabeth
Project manager/ designer
Elisabeth is our Project Manager and Designer at Modern Dwelling Design. We met in design school, where her talent, attention to detail, and natural leadership immediately stood out.
With a strong foundation in both design and project coordination, Elisabeth seamlessly bridges creativity and execution — ensuring each project moves forward with clarity, organization, and intention. Her thoughtful approach and eye for detail help bring our concepts to life with precision and polish.
